The central scientific focus of the Kavli Institute at Cornell for Nanoscale Science is to:
- Address the major challenges and opportunities for science at the atomic and molecular scale
- Bring together the world's seminal thinkers
- Foster a collaborative multidisciplinary research community at Cornell
- Define the path for progress in creating significant new science
The Kavli Institute at Cornell has fostered cross-disciplinary and cross-institution collaborations, providing valuable intellectual activity to the Cornell campus and to scientists around the globe. The Kavli Institute has partnered with each of the nanoscale science centers at Cornell as well as departments and faculty that have significant nanoscience activity.
