The membership of the Kavli Institute includes those Cornell faculty actively participating in the research programs of the nanotechnology centers at Cornell:

Robert C. Richardson

Director

The Kavli Institute reports to the Provost and President of Cornell University through the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. The Institute's founding Director is Dr. Robert C. Richardson, F.R. Newman Professor of Physics and Senior Science Adviser, Cornell University.

Executive Council

The Executive Council is responsible for implementing Institute programs and consists of the Kavli Institute director and not more than twelve members. Of the twelve Executive Council members, eight will be appointed from Cornell faculty and four will be appointed from outside Cornell. The four Executive Council members from outside Cornell will serve as the Institute's External Advisory Board.
