Kavli Futures Sympmosium: The Merging of Bio and Nano
Participants tour fjords
The inaugural Kavli Futures Symposium, June 11-14, 2007, engaged eighteen scientists in an exploration of the opportunities for research at the interface between nanoscience and molecular and cellular biology. Held in Ilulissat, Greenland, the symposium was sponsored by the Kavli Foundation, the Kavli Institute at Cornell, and the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience, Delft. The scientists reached consensus on several points, and called for a global research focus on synthetic biology.
