Nanoscale Science under the Microscope
Hands-on experience in nanotechnology labs
The Kavli Institute at Cornell hosted a Journalist's Workshop in Nanotechnology, October 3-5, 2004.
Program highlights included: Primer on nanoscale science and its applications. Hands-on experiences in nanotechnology labs. Keynote address by Horst Stormer, 1998 Nobel Laureate in Physics, formerly with Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs and now at Columbia University. Panel discussions on environmental and social implications of nanoscience. Gala banquet at the Museum of the Earth.
Participants' Comments
Attendees reported that "the immersion was good," "the presenters were exceptional," and that they "loved the hands-on labs."
