Cornell University Provost Biddy Martin hosted a symposium honoring Robert C. Richardson, Floyd R. Newman Professor of Physics and Director of the Kavli Institute at Cornell, on April 12, 2008. Morning talks focused on the science of low temperature physics; afternoon panels reviewed the roles of industrial labs and universities in the generation of knowledge and innovation.
