Limited Submission Competitions
Some sponsors limit the number of nominations or proposals that Cornell (including Weill Medical College) may submit to a particular program. These special limited submission competitions are coordinated by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and are announced via the CU-RES-ADMIN-L listserv. The Faculty Senate's Local Advisory Council reviews the nominations/proposals received and then selects the submissions to go forward based on how closely the proposed research matches the sponsor's interests and thus has the best opportunity for success.
Sponsor deadlines occur throughout the year and rarely have the same annual deadline; also, some invitations are not issued annually. Therefore the deadline date for submitting materials to the internal review process is not included on following list. This is by no means an exhaustive list: investigators considering applying to a limited submission program that is not listed below should contact Elaine LaRocque.
