Grant Forward (formerly Illinois Researcher Information Service)
The GrantForward grant search service (formerly Illinois Researcher Information Service [IRIS] allows the Cornell community access to a Funding Opportunities Database. The database is updated daily and contains funding opportunities in the life and physical sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.
There are two search methods: basic and advanced. The basic search provides a keyword-based search bar for a variety of search types. The advanced search provides a set of fields for targeted queries. In an advanced search you may specify general keywords (similar to IRIS' Subject Keywords), sponsors and a variety of additional attributes. One or more of these fields may be combined in various ways in order to fully customize your query.
If you are a former user of IRIS, GrantForward has developed an FAQ and transition guide to help answer your questions about utilizing the new service.
To help users transition to the new service, Grant Forward is offering Webinars every few months. Further information and the schedule can be found here.
