These Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are produced and enforced to ensure the welfare of animals used in research and teaching at Cornell University. They ensure that high quality care is provided for all research animals, and that they are used in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines. Cornell faculty, researchers and their staff, animal facility personnel, and students must comply with these SOPs. Any exemption must be approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) prior to its application.

These SOPs are in PDF format; you can download a free reader from Adobe.
